The UGC sources generally contain publicly available data documenting people’s social interactions and their collective preferences and interests within a city. Along this direction, NExT is working towards generating higher-level analytics to better understand the topics of interests to society, their sentiments, evolving live events and social communities, location semantics, as well as question-answering of rich content. We describe each sub-topic as follows.
